Alongside The Gadget Show Live in 2011, National Electronics Week the UK's premier electronics trade exhibition (NEW:UK) will highlight the connection between the UK's electronics industry and today's most wanted innovations. NEW:UK is giving away 5,000 tickets for professional engineers to attend the popular consumer tech show.

Claire Saunders, NEW:UK event director, explains "UK electronics needs to show off its achievements in order to win more customers, inspire its engineers and attract future generations. NEW:UK's move to co-locate with The Gadget Show Live in 2011 highlights UK electronics as a vital component that helps to deliver global benefits that meet industry, business and consumer needs."

Chairman of the NEW:UK Steering Committee, Cambridge Technology Group CEO Simon Payne, wants to encourage more of the UK's professional electronics and technology events to come together to showcase what's new in the industry. With over 60,000 tickets sold so far for the show in 2011, this should provide all the confidence we need to come out each year and promote UK innovation, R&D and the supply-chain behind the best tech on display."

Engineers registering via the NEW:UK website at www.new-expo.co.uk can receive one of 5,000 free tickets to The Gadget Show Live's trade and press day on April 12, as well as the chance to win prizes and gadgets on April 13. This represents a valuable opportunity to attend the show, as public tickets often sell out well in advance of the event.

NEW:UK runs from 12-13 April, 2011 at the NEC Pavilion, the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham.
